A low-frequency-of-occurrence event, a sever storm that is in our near future. With all the unexplainable weather events related to global warming a catastrophic event is inevitable. one that has the potential for long-duration catastrophic impacts to the power grid and its users. that's me and you. The repercussions if not prepared would be felt on interdependent infrastructures, with, for example, potable water distribution affected; perishable foods and medications lost; and eventual loss of heating/air conditioning, sewage disposal, phone service, transportation, fuel resupply, and so on. The effects on these interdependent infrastructures could persist for multiple years, with a potential for societal impacts.
